Об этой веб-камере
The Trudeau Airport webcam looks straight down runway 24R at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport from just behind its approach lights, and a second tab does the same on the parallel runway 24L. Bars of approach lights cross the bottom of the frame, the runway runs away to the southwest, and a treeline closes the far end. Aircraft landing on runway 24 come in over those lights and touch down ahead of the camera, while departures start their roll close by and race away toward the trees. When the wind swings round and the airport switches to the 06 runways, arrivals touch down at the far end and can roll out toward the lens. The main stream carries live air traffic control audio, and a clock in the bottom-left corner shows Montreal time.
About Trudeau Airport and Its Runways
Montreal-Trudeau sits 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) west of downtown Montreal at an elevation of 37 meters (120 feet). It straddles a municipal border: the terminals are entirely in the suburb of Dorval, while runway 06L/24R lies in the Montreal borough of Saint-Laurent. The airport covers about 60 percent of Dorval’s land, so the town’s 19,302 residents (2021 census) all live in its southern part, along Lac Saint-Louis.
Runway 24R is the longest at 3,353 meters (11,000 feet), and 24L runs about 3 kilometers (1.9 miles). The two runway ends these cameras watch are about 1.7 kilometers (1.1 miles) apart, both facing southwest. The old crossing runway, 10/28, is closed, so nearly every jet in and out of Montreal crosses one of these two frames. Both streams are presented by Dickie Moore Rentals and Moore JCB, whose logos sit in the top-right corner.
The field opened on September 1, 1941, became Montreal-Dorval International Airport in November 1960, and took the name of former Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau on January 1, 2004. It handled 22.4 million passengers in 2025, the third-highest total in Canada. Air Canada runs a hub here, and Air Transat and Air Inuit are headquartered at the airport. The operator’s list of airlines spotted on the stream runs from regional carriers such as Air Creebec to Emirates, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines.
Weather and Climate at Trudeau Airport
Montreal’s climate averages are measured at the airport itself. January brings highs around minus 5 C (23 F) and lows near minus 13.5 C (8 F), and about 217 centimeters (85 inches) of snow falls in a typical year. On the Trudeau Airport webcam, snow can turn the runway white, and traffic can thin out while crews clear the pavement. The record low is minus 37.8 C (minus 36 F), set in January 1957.
Spring warms quickly, with April averaging 11 C (52 F) by day and 1 C (34 F) at night. July highs run near 27 C (80 F) with lows around 17 C (62 F), and the record of 37.6 C (99.7 F) dates from August 1975. October averages 13 C (56 F) by day, and in early October the treeline at the far end of the 24R view turns orange and red. Around 1,041 millimeters (41 inches) of rain and melted snow fall over the year.
Things to Do Near Trudeau Airport
Jacques-de-Lesseps Park in Dorval is the airport’s official plane-spotting site, beside runway 06R/24L, with benches and information boards about the aircraft. It is mainly a place to watch takeoffs rather than landings, which makes it a good partner to this camera. About 3 kilometers (2 miles) northwest of the 24R runway end, the Parc-nature du Bois-de-Liesse in Saint-Laurent has walking trails through woodland, a quiet change from the runways.
Downtown is 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) east, and STM bus route 747 runs between the airport and the city center. From there, the cobbled streets of Old Montreal lead down to the Old Port, and Mount Royal, the hill that gave the city its name, rises behind the downtown towers. Closer to the airport, Dorval’s waterfront faces Lac Saint-Louis, a short drive south of the terminals.

Часто задаваемые вопросы
Насколько загружен аэропорт Монреаля прямо сейчас?
Watch the main runway for a few minutes. With runway 24 in use, arrivals cross the approach lights in the foreground and departures roll away toward the far treeline, so every movement is easy to count. A landing or takeoff every couple of minutes means a busy spell. The 24L tab covers the parallel runway.
Что показывает веб-камера Трюдо?
Two runways at Montreal-Trudeau, seen end-on from behind their approach lights. The main view looks down runway 24R past red-and-white lattice masts to a treeline. The 24L tab looks over the runway’s threshold markings toward parked vehicles and low buildings on the far horizon. Neither camera shows the terminal or the gates.
В какое время в аэропорту имени Трюдо наблюдается наибольшая загрузка?
Movements often come in clusters, with several landings or takeoffs close together and then a quiet gap. The clock in the corner of the stream shows Montreal time, so watching for ten minutes at the hour you care about tells you more than any rule of thumb. For one specific flight, the airline’s flight status page is the reliable check.
Ведется ли трансляция с веб-камеры аэропорта Монреаля в ночное время?
Yes. The operator bills both streams as 24/7. After dark the approach lights in the foreground and the runway lights beyond them can glow across the frame, and aircraft show mostly as landing lights. Telling airlines apart is hard at night, but the movements stay easy to count.
Does the Trudeau Airport webcam have sound?
Yes. The channel’s description credits LiveATC.net for the audio, so the main Runway 24R stream plays live air traffic control radio. Unmute the player to listen to the controllers while you watch the runway.
Can I check flight status on the Trudeau Airport webcam?
No. The cameras show only the two runway ends, with no terminal, gates or departure boards in view, and the stream carries no flight information. Check the airport’s or your airline’s flight status page, then watch the runway for the departure.
What is the weather like at Montreal Trudeau Airport?
Winters are cold and snowy, with January highs around minus 5 C (23 F) and about 217 centimeters (85 inches) of snow a year. July highs run near 27 C (80 F). Low cloud, falling snow and wet pavement show up on the runway view at once, which makes it a quick check before heading to YUL.
How far is Trudeau Airport from downtown Montreal?
About 15 kilometers (9.3 miles), in the suburb of Dorval, west of downtown. STM bus route 747 links the airport with the city center.
