Tucked away in the forests of southwestern Pennsylvania, Fallingwater is located in the Laurel Highlands region, not far from the small town of Mill Run. The house sits directly above a waterfall on Bear Run, blending into its natural surroundings with layered stone terraces and cantilevered balconies.
Fallingwater was designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in the 1930s as a private home for the Kaufmann family. Its defining feature is how it stretches over the flowing water, which was an intentional part of Wright’s vision to make the home part of the landscape. Today, it’s managed by the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and is open to the public for tours. The webcam provides a live look at the site, including the stream below and the house’s structure, offering a different perspective than what you might see on a regular tour.
This part of Pennsylvania is known for its dense forests and rugged terrain, which make the setting feel remote even though it’s only about 70 miles (113 kilometers) from Pittsburgh. The Fallingwater webcam is especially popular during the fall foliage and snowy winter months when the scenery takes on a different feel.
