This live webcam is located at the Hotel Carrara, in the town of Carrara, in the Tuscany region of Italy.
The webcam is pointed towards the entrance of the main railway station, with the beautiful Apuan Alps mountain range in the background.
On a clear day, you can also see the marble quarries of Carrara, for which the town has been known since Roman times. The marble from Carrara, prized for its high quality and pure white or blue-grey color, was used in some of Ancient Rome’s most iconic buildings and sculptures.
Today, the marble industry is still an important part of Carrara’s economy, with many quarries in the surrounding mountains still operating.
