Nuuk is the capital and largest city of Greenland, an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark. It is located on the southwestern coast of the island and has a population of about 18,000 people. Nuuk is the center of Greenland’s government, culture, and economy and is home to a number of important institutions, including the University of Greenland and the Greenland National Museum.
