The Regina Webcam is the weather camera of the NWR Weather station in Regina, Saskatchewan, and it shows the city’s big prairie sky over a quiet residential park. The view runs across a sloping lawn crossed by a curving paved path, past tall spruces and leafy trees, to a pond with a row of houses along its far bank. More than half of the frame is sky, which makes this a good camera for watching prairie weather roll in. About Regina

Regina is the capital of Saskatchewan, a city of 226,404 people at the 2021 census, with 249,217 in the wider metropolitan area. It was founded in 1882 as the seat of government of the North-West Territories, on a site known as Pile-of-Bones. Princess Louise renamed it Regina, Latin for queen, in honor of Queen Victoria. Regina was incorporated as a city on June 19, 1903, and became the provincial capital on May 23, 1906.

At the heart of the city lies Wascana Centre, a park of 9.3 square kilometers (3.6 square miles) planned by the architect Minoru Yamasaki in 1961, which holds the Saskatchewan Legislative Building, built between 1908 and 1912, along with the Royal Saskatchewan Museum and the University of Regina.
