The Las Vegas Webcam looks due north across Allegiant Stadium, the black glass home of the Las Vegas Raiders, toward the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. EarthCam runs the camera with Staybridge Suites, whose Stadium District hotel on Dean Martin Drive stands about 600 meters (0.4 miles) south of the stadium. The stadium fills the left half of the frame, its curved facade wrapped in white light bands. Behind it the skyline runs from the glass towers of the central Strip past the spire and roller coaster of New York-New York to the Luxor pyramid, with the gold towers of Mandalay Bay on the right. About Allegiant Stadium and the South Strip

Allegiant Stadium stands at 3333 Al Davis Way on a 62 acre (25 hectare) site west of Interstate 15. Clark County declared it substantially complete on July 31, 2020, and the first game followed on September 21, 2020, a Monday Night Football win for the Raiders over the New Orleans Saints, 34 to 24. It cost 1.9 billion dollars, which puts it among the most expensive stadiums in the world. NFL capacity is 65,000, expandable to 71,835. The UNLV Rebels college football team plays here too, and the dark, rounded shape seen on the camera has earned it the nickname “The Death Star”.

Allegiant Stadium runs public tours of about 75 minutes, covering more than 1.6 kilometers (1 mile) on foot. Routes can include the Al Davis Memorial Torch, the broadcast booth, private suites, the postgame press conference room, the Raiders locker rooms and the field itself, depending on events. Tours start at the north security gate, next to Lot C.

About 1.4 kilometers (0.8 miles) southeast of the stadium, the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign stands in the median of Las Vegas Boulevard South. Betty Willis designed it in 1959, it is 7.6 meters (25 feet) tall, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009, a year after a small visitor parking lot opened beside it. Across the freeway, Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay holds about 6 million liters (1.6 million gallons) of seawater and more than 2,000 animals, and the Luxor, Excalibur and New York-New York, all in the camera’s skyline, are a short walk north along the Strip from there.
