About Kusadasi Cruise Port

Ege Port Kusadasi is the town’s cruise terminal, run by Global Ports Holding since July 2003. Its two finger piers give a berthing line of about 1,297 meters (4,255 feet) and can take up to four large ships at once, Oasis-class vessels included, with a maximum draught of 10 meters (33 feet). In 2025 the port handled 617 cruise calls and 995,303 passengers, the highest totals in its history and the most of any cruise port in Turkey. The terminal is about 50 meters (164 feet) from the town center, so passengers walk straight off the pier into town.

The Kusadasi Cruise Port Webcam stands on the seafront north of the port, on a stretch of Ataturk Boulevard where the feed is credited to Gondol Ristorante, and it looks back across less than a kilometer (about half a mile) of water to the piers. Under Frankish rule the port was known as Scala Nuova, a name the shopping village at today’s terminal still carries. The castle on the island was rebuilt and expanded in 1834. The town had 130,835 residents in 2022.

Kusadasi has hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. In July and August the average high is close to 32 C (89 F), nights stay around 22 C (72 F), and almost no rain falls: the 1991 to 2020 averages give less than 1 millimeter for each of those months. Summer frames can look hazy, with a pale sky over the hill. Spring warms quickly, from average highs of 20.6 C (69 F) in April to 24.8 C (77 F) in May, and September is still summer at 28.2 C (83 F).

The port gate opens onto the Scala Nuova shopping village, and from there Liman Avenue leads up to the Caravanserai of Okuz Mehmet Pasha, a stone inn built in 1618 as a strong-room for sailors’ goods. To the right of it, the half-covered streets of the Grand Bazaar are lined with carpet, jewelry, ceramics and leather shops. Pigeon Island and its castle are about 650 meters (0.4 miles) west of the piers. Ladies Beach (Kadinlar Denizi), the town’s best-known beach, is about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) south of the port.

Inland, Ephesus lies about 11 kilometers (7 miles) north-east of the port in a straight line, near the town of Selcuk. The House of the Virgin Mary is about 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) away on the hills above it, and the village of Sirince is about 18 kilometers (11 miles) out, both measured in a straight line. For wild coast, the Dilek Peninsula and Buyuk Menderes Delta National Park begins about 30 kilometers (19 miles) south of the town center.
