Grand Targhee Webcam, Alta, Wyoming

The Grand Targhee webcam is located in the Caribou Targhee National Forest, near Alta, Wyoming, a famous ski resort situated on the side of the magnificent Grand Tetons. What sets this resort apart is its powder snow known as “Targhee Champagne Powder”, which skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels can enjoy on a variety of groomed runs, glades and challenging slopes.

The winter season from November to April creates a welcoming environment for families with lessons for all levels. Additionally, there are activities like country skiing, snowshoeing and thrilling snowcat adventures.

During the summer months from June to October, Grand Targhee transforms into an epicenter for mountain biking and hiking enthusiasts. It also hosts music events that add to the atmosphere. Throughout the year visitors can enjoy a range of events such as music festivals, mountain bike races and winter sports competitions. Accommodation options at Grand Targhee include hotels and condos with dining facilities and other amenities at the base area.

Three cameras now share this page. Dreamcatcher looks across the base area, Stick of Truth frames the resort’s snow stake beside the lodge, and Summit looks out from the top of Fred’s Mountain at 3,006 meters (9,862 feet), west over Teton Valley toward Driggs, Idaho. The snow stake is a resort tradition rather than an official measurement, and staff clear it each morning through the winter operating season. Late in September the upper mountain is bare, with aspens turning gold around the base.
